(Marietta, Ga. – Oct. 11, 2016)

As a reflection of its ongoing efforts to serve the college community, Chattahoochee Tech Foundation recently received Role Model Foundation Board Certification from the Technical College Foundation Association of Georgia (TCFA). The Foundation previously received this distinction in 2015 and 2013.

“Chattahoochee Tech Foundation is extremely proud of the commitment of our Board of Trustees, all of whom are volunteering their time to support and promote our mission in their communities and our service area,” CTC Executive Director of Development Melanie Lambert said.

In order to obtain Role Model Board Certification, each member must meet specific requirements, such as observing a class, chairing a fundraising event, participating in advanced training or professional development and either making a personal financial commitment or obtaining a gift from another local donor or corporate sponsor.

According to the application for certification, “A Role Model Board is one in which all trustees are actively engaged in the work of the board, through regular attendance at board and committee meetings, college and foundation events, participation in leadership activities, personal professional development and fundraising on behalf of the board.”

Chattahoochee Tech Foundation was recognized for the certification during the Technical College System of Georgia’s annual Fall Leadership Conference, held Oct. 3 to Oct. 5 in Savannah.

“We’re fortunate to have board members who have accomplished these goals for two years in a row,” Lambert said. “Their commitment to the Foundation and our mission of supporting Chatt Tech students with scholarships and grants helps inspire others to join us in this important work.”
