Chattahoochee Technical College student Tammy Stopher, of Fulton County, recently had one of her designs selected to be used during the Georgia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators’ upcoming 50th anniversary meeting, which will be held in May 2017.
Stopher, who is enrolled in CTC’s Design and Media Production Technology program on the Mountain View Campus, said her instructor Glenn Reid encouraged her to submit the design.

“The design was largely inspired by what the client asked for in the logo,” Stopher said. “They wanted the state of Georgia, along with something mentioning the 50th anniversary and year of the event. They asked for a flower since it was taking place at Callaway Gardens, but Mr. Reid and I came back to them with the idea of using a peach, as it relates better to the state of Georgia.”
She continued, “I did about 40 sketches. Of those, Mr. Reid helped me condense it down to four that I designed and presented to GASFAA, and of those they made their final selection.”
Stopher submitted the logo to GASFAA about two weeks ago and was informed of the selection in mid-November. She plans to complete the program in summer semester 2017.
