Nearly 150 community and business leaders gathered at Chattahoochee Technical College’s North Metro Campus for a telecast viewing of Live2Lead 2017 on Friday, Oct. 6.
“This was an amazing event and it got off to a great start,” CTC Business and Industry Coordinator Cynthia Brown said. “We had a lot of powerful leaders within the community speaking and everyone was very engaged.”
Live2Lead is a full-day leadership and personal growth event hosted live in Atlanta. For nearly a decade, the annual leadership gathering, developed by the John Maxwell Company, has shared leadership and personal growth principles to a live audience and over 300 simulcast locations around the world.
According to the Live2Lead website, “Attendees learn from renowned leadership experts from a variety of industries, gain new perspectives on relevant topics, and get practical tools to take home with them.”
This year’s speakers were Dr. John C. Maxwell, a New York Times best-selling author named the No. 1 leadership expert by the American Management Association and Inc. Magazine; Dave Ramsey, a personal money-management and business expert and best-selling author; Warrick Dunn, a former NFL running back and limited partner of the Atlanta Falcons; and Cheryl Bachedlder, the former CEO of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Inc.
“It means a lot to the companies who have come to the event because many of them can identify and relate to the speakers’ stories,” Brown said. “It’s leadership focused, and a lot of our attendees are management level, so it speaks directly to how they can better serve and lead their team.”
