A group of 15 Chattahoochee Tech students representing a variety of college programs earned ten medals at the recent statewide SkillsUSA competition held in Atlanta. The college’s three gold medal winners will represent Chattahoochee Tech at the national SkillsUSA competition this summer in Louisville, Ky.
Bringing home the gold were Chattahoochee Tech Culinary students Lauren Arcaro, of Powder Springs, Samuel Stavely, of Sandy Springs, and Celina Vicente, of Powder Springs.
Silver medal winners included Chattahoochee Tech Criminal Justice student Angibel Tome-Martinez, of Acworth, Diesel Technology student Travis Colasurd, of Acworth, and Motorcycle Technology student Trent Rich, of Kennesaw. Earning bronze medals in Crime Scene Investigation were Maria Guzman Ramirez, of Canton, Lucas Hoffman, of Woodstock, and Julie Spencer, of Smyrna. Also earning a bronze medal at this event was Yuri Truelove, of Austell, in Motorcycle Technology.
