Chattahoochee Technical College honored a select group of eleven students at its Student Leadership Academy graduation ceremony held on Friday, April 13 at the North Metro Campus in Acworth. Jais Matta, of Cobb County, was selected to receive the program’s top award of $500. Receiving the runner-up award of $250 was Katherine Fowler, of Cobb County. Both scholarship awards were sponsored by Drew Tutton of Open Roads Complete RV.
“I was incredibly honored to have been selected for the Student Leadership Academy,” said award winner Jais Matta, a student in the Chattahoochee Tech Health Sciences program. “Thanks to this opportunity, I’ve learned about key qualities such as communication, work ethic and morality which are critical to leadership. I will diligently work to apply these skills in every aspect of life to help those around me to be productive and achieve success.”
The Student Leadership Academy is an annual, semester-long program at Chattahoochee Tech designed to provide student participants with workplace skills while also giving them a vested knowledge about leadership development.
