Chattahoochee Technical College recognized Chattahoochee Tech Foundation Board of Trustees Chair Don Barbour on Thursday, May 17, for his outstanding leadership as Board Chair as well as his dedicated service on the board for more than a decade. Barbour received this award during the Chattahoochee Tech Foundation’s quarterly meeting at the college’s North Metro Campus in Acworth.
“I greatly appreciate this honor, and I will continue to support the Foundation and the college on this board as Past Chair,” said Barbour, AT&T Regional Director of External Affairs. “It takes a team to make all of this work, and the board has worked hard together to support the mission of Chattahoochee Tech.”
Through Barbour’s leadership, the Chattahoochee Tech Foundation received Role Model Foundation Board Certification in November 2017 from the Technical College Foundation Association. This distinction represents the board’s commitment to performing best practices while helping to advance the college.
“Don has been so deeply involved in what has happened here at the college for over a decade,” said Dr. Ron Newcomb, President of Chattahoochee Technical College. “His leadership has been invaluable, and we greatly appreciate his service.”
